چکیده

Abstract Sorghum has the potential to support diversification efforts and food security. production needs be increased through selection of varieties appropriate cropping systems. Intercropping system is expected able government programs in strengthening national security increasing land-use efficiency. The purpose this study was evaluate growth yield three sorghum intercropped with peanuts determine that gave highest intercropping groundnuts. This experiment carried out Sandik village, Batu Layar, West Lombok from December 2019 March 2020. design used a factorial randomized complete block (RCBD), first factor being sorghum-groundnut monocropping, while second varieties, namely Numbu, Super 1, Bioguma. Each treatment repeated 3 times. results showed groundnuts had better yields than grown monocropping. Numbu variety best both monocropping systems, 1 Bioguma significant increase when compared positive response system, dry matter weight by 52.84% Likewise, also shown 47.66% plant

Phylloplane bacteria increase seedling emergence, growth and yield of field-grown groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.).

AIM To isolate and characterize groundnut-associated bacterial isolates for growth promotion of groundnut in field. METHODS AND RESULTS Three hundred and ninety-three groundnut-associated bacteria, representing the geocarposphere, phylloplane and rhizosphere, and endophytes were applied as seed treatment in greenhouse. Maximum increase in plant biomass (up to 26%) was observed following treat...

Effect of Integrated Weed Management on Yield, Quality and Economics of Summer Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.)

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) is one of the globally important cereal crop after wheat, maize, rice and barley. Sorghum is a unique crop among the major cereals and the staple food and fodder crop of the world’s poor and most food-insecure populations, located primarily in the semi-arid tropics. Sorghum is grown on 43.81 million ha area in the world, producing about 65.42 million tonnes grain wi...

Effects of ethephon on growth and yield of sweet sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) at different growth stages

There is little information about the effects of ethephon ripening hormone on the yield of sweet sorghum in Thailand. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of ethephon hormone applied at different growth stages of three cultivars of sweet sorghum on its growth and yield. The experiment was conducted from December 2016 to May 2017 at a research plot of the Faculty of Agricultural Te...
